Alrighty, guys! We're on the home stretch for event #2 of the season! I don't want to hear any whining about being Memorial Day Weekend or anything like that! lol! Just come on out and have a good time with the rest of us!
Gatewood Boat Ramp in Bartow County, 7PM till 2AM, $50 entry ($10 to Big Bass and $40 to a 1 plc for every 5 entries up to 30, 6 plcs no matter how many after that).

For those who have never been up here before, you can use these directions:
From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left
up

Beautiful evening and not as crowded as I thought it was going to be. There were still a lot of holiday weekend boaters out there but they were off the lake shortly after dark. That made for a much quieter night on the water. We did see the DNR boat chasing another boat about midnight down near Illinois Creek (good seeing them out there for a change). We had 23 paid entries last night with 44 anglers. The total number of fish brought to the scales was 80 (16 limits), Big Bass was a 5.16 monster Spot!

Here's how the money spots went down (please note that this was the night of the "Chad"s, LOL!) :

5th place went to Scott and Chad P., with 5 fish for 7.31lbs, for $92

4th place was Lonnie and Chad with 5 fish for 8.81lbs and $138

3rd place went to Bill P. and Chad W., with 5 fish for 8.83lbs and $184 (Their kicker was a 4.27lb spot!)

2nd place was "Fatrat" and Terry with 5 solid fish for 9.23lbs and a $240 payday

1st place was Eric and Calvin with 5 fish for 10.56lbs and Big Bass with a 5.16lb Bruiser Spot! They won $276 for 1st, $200 side pot and $230 for Big Bass. That kind of money sure feels good when you win! Way to go, guys!

I really enjoyed seeing all of you out there tonight and look forward to the June events. We will see you guys on June 5th! Same place, same Time!
