This will be the last daylight tournament for Porko's until we start the Sunday Afternoons back up in November. Safelight till 3:30. $50 entry, $10 to Big Bass and $40 to a 1-5 payback up to 30 entries (it's 6 places no matter how many entries). More to follow when we get closer! JUST A REMINDER THAT WE DO NOT START THE MIDNIGHT MADNESS UNTIL MAY 10th, 2014

WE are on the home stretch for the last daytime Porko event until November. Saturday morning is looking really nice and the spawners should start moving in earnest now. WE will probably start around 7AM, I will be at Gatewood around the 5:30AM time frame to sign folks up. I will have Tom Grant in the back of the Astro this Saturday since he had his gallbladder taken out a couple of weeks ago, I guess I will net mine and his fish because he's still on light duty! I don't mind, he's my old buddy and I will gladly take care of him! We'll see you guys on Saturday MORNING!

Brace yourself for a beautiful forecast tomorrow! I would bet by mid day we'll have plenty of pleasure boaters out there too! That's ok, it is what it IS (Allatoona). I will be there around 5:30AM to sign folks up, we will plan a blast off of 7AM (last boat to sign in gets the blast off honors!). Weigh in will be at 3:30PM. I am hoping to see a lot fish tomorrow evening, so if you're not fishing maybe you can break away from the "honey-dos and yard-work" and come out and visit with us at the weigh-in! For the rest of you guys, we'll see ya in the morning!

Bob , it is very light out at 6:30 AM . Should be able to blast off a lot sooner than 7 . You are right about the pleasure boaters , not to mention the jet ski's .

Ken, I think 7AM will be soon enough. The official daylight is 6:55AM and I want to give as many folks as possible, a chance to get there and fish. As you pointed out, there is another tournament going out of Gatewood also (a club tournament I believe and I do not know how many boats they will have), I will talk to them about when they are blasting off and work around them.

If there is a good turn out it will be hard to hold them back to 7 .

The weather was really nice, a little windy at times though! Thousands of pleasure boaters, yachts, ski boats, jet fleas and pontoon boats on steroids thought so too! The main lake boat show was definitely a reminder of why some of us enjoy night time fishing on Allatoona! We shared the ramp with the West Cobb Bass Club this morning. They looked to have 15 (+) boats themselves. We ended up with 13 paid entries and a total of 14 boats including mine.
When the scales finally closed we had 11 boats that weighed 49 fish for a total of 77.61lbs for a 1.58lb average. There were 8 Largemouth weighed as well. We paid 3 places and Big Bass and here are the money spots:
3rd place went to Tom and I with 5 fish for 8.08lbs and $104
2nd place was Coach B. and Justin with 5 fish for 8.49lbs and $156
1st place went to Eric N. with 5 fish for 14.19 and $260, and Big Bass with 4.35lbs for $130, All of Eric's fish were Largemouth
Today wraps up the daylight tournaments until the Sunday Afternoon events start back up in November 2014.
May 10th will start up the Porko's Midnight Madness 2014 Season so plan on fishing with us when you can!

Well, look at the bass you're fishing for? Floridas in a shallow grassy lake during the spring time in central Texas! DOH! I will be back home some day! This is just a momentary place in time! (Oh tell me how well they're biting in August, honestly).
