Some of you guys may have already heard, but Tom Frink was part of the AUM team that just won the College National Championship at lake Chatuge. He is currently living in Auburn, but had lived in the Kennesaw area for a few years and was pretty well known around a lot of the local tournaments.

The next stop for him is Michigan in September where he will fish off against 7 other college anglers for a chance to fish the Bassmaster Classic next year on G-ville.

On his way home from Chatuge this weekend, he stopped by and spent the night with another close friend, and we were able to check out the trophy first hand. He is the guy on the left, and his AUM teammate, Jacob Nummy is on the right. They managed to win this weekend by a pretty hefty margin, and totaled over 40lbs in 3 days. I really enjoyed following their progress over the last three days, and cannot put into words how exciting the possibility of Tom getting into the Classic is!

that is great news! I know Tom as well, he has fished a number of my events. My neighbor bought his BassCat a few years ago (that's when I first met him). That kid is an Aaron Marten disciple! lol!
I think we will be seeing a lot more of Tom in the coming years!

Yep, he use to live with Aaron for a while, and knows his stuff! I'm hoping this is the jump start he needs to take it to the next level. Out of everyone I know, he is the one guy who can and has competed at the top levels, and can do it day in and day out. It is amazing watching him fish. I do know he was the #2 in career earnings for an Elite Series co-angler.

Pretty awesome!! I am happy for both of them. Whenever I transfer I am possibly thinking about joining the Kennesaw State University fishing club. I have a good feeling about my fishing future a few years from now

I am just glad this was not happening when I was in college.
I would still be in school.
