We lost a forum member this morning in a boating accident on Allatoona. His name is Tim Lewis and from the preliminiary reports, he was thrown from his boat and then run over. He posted on a lot of the forums as tllewis. I know he fished the Sunday trail a lot. Very sad news.

I ran into Craig Siler this evening and he told me someone died on the lake this morning! Tim fished most of my tournaments and was truly a gentleman and fine person to be around! This is horrible news and my most sincere condolences and prayers to the family! Are there any details as to what happened?

Its sad this man lost his life, May have been prevented it he had his kill switch hooked to his body somewhere. Just takes a second to hook up, and just a second to end up in the water.

We only know that he didn't have his life jacket on at this point. I know how easy it is to make the other assumptions, but out of respect we need to wait until the investigation is complete. It is a good message though and one that many of us, including me, have taken for granted. I will be wearing my PFD and hooking up my kill switch again. This was definitely an eye opener.

The news reporter stated that witness said the boat circled for about 40 min before it ran out of gas. I wasn't try to be disrespectful. Everyone just seem to think its not going to happen to them!!
