Unfortunately you may be correct. The rights they can't take away directly they will do so with indirect means...like, forcing up the price of gas(ethanol comes to mind), increasing EPA required fuel standands to unreasonable levels...adding technology and cost to vehicles, restricting access to certain waters based on flimsy/nonsense reasons, etc.
