Porko's Sunday Afternoon Tournaments start back up this coming Sunday, November 6, 2016. Hours 1-5pm, $20 entry ($5 to Big Bass, $15 to a 1-5 payback) and optional $10 side pot.
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp. We usually collect money at the top of the parking lot near the restrooms, but if I'm not there, I will be down by the boat ramp in one of the handicap spaces

Sunday we had southerly winds generally, with warm temps and a high layer of clouds. Water temps both days were in the upper 60s for the most part and the water was very clear for this time of year. We had 21 boats in the tournament including mine. A total of 34 anglers weighed 31 fish for 36.31 pounds (1.17lb average per fish), big Bass was a 2.73lb spot. We paid 4 places and a side pot and here is the way those places paid out:
4th place went to Brent T. with 2 fish for 3.99lbs for $30
3rd place went to Stephen and Triple (Eric) with 3 fish for 4.35lbs for $60
2nd place went to Josh and Jacob with 3 fish for 4.60lbs and $90
1st place went to Timmy and Andrew with 3 fish for 4.62lbs for $120 and the side pot of $210
Big Bass went to Mike Evans and his little feller with a 2.73lb spot for $100

Unfortunately 8 of entries didn't weigh any fish, it was very tough to say the least!
